About Me !

Hallo!

I'm Julia—an artist hailing from just outside of ATL. Despite growing up in Georgia, my upbringing was anything but Southern. I have lived most of my life with my Norwegian grandmother, Herdis, who has been instrumental in shaping the Scandinavian girl I am today. I have been in tune with my artist from a very young age. My love for performing has always come from an urge to connect. It started as a string that tied my father and I together, and evolved into a tether that has become an integral part of my being.

I arrived at Ithaca College in the fall of 2022, and if there is one thing I have learned about myself in my 4 years here, it is that I have an eagerness to discover what art can be doing to evoke change. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to wake up and dig deeper into my art, and I am itching to discover what that will look like upon my graduation with a BFA in Musical Theatre in the spring of 2026.

During my time at Ithaca College, I have had the opportunity to step into a multitude of shoes while exploring different mediums. Musicals, plays, short films, dances, etc. I was most recently seen as Jo March in Little Women The Musical. As an actor, it was a thrilling experience, but as a human being, telling this important, timeless female story was a dream come true. I stepped into the shoes of #11 in The Wolves my second year. Experiencing an all-female cast for the first time was stirring. I played Paula Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can: The Musical in my third year and got to explore a French dialect. I am currently leading a 29 hour reading of Bindweed as Jen, as well as Lizzy Bennet in an upcoming workshop of Are The Bennet Girls OK?

Just as I enjoy my art to be an exploration, I aim to lead my everyday life in search of discovery as well. You will often find me immersed in nature or in an antique shop sifting through recovered letters between loved ones or reading decades-old newspapers.
